10 Good, Fun Things

Hi, it’s me, Patty, and here is a list of 10 things I like, enjoy, love, or whatever. My goal is to give you an insight into my scattered brain and bring the joy through various clickable things.

  1. Last Thursday, I listened to James Burrows on Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend and immediately downloaded his book (Directed by James Burrows) on my sister’s Audible account (because I canceled mine to save my money, not hers). As a huge fan of Cheers, it brought me so much joy to hear about the show from his perspective as the director. He also directed Will & Grace and basically every other show on television (Friends, Frasier, Mary Tyler Moore, Big Bang Theory, etc.) If you’re interested in “the business” (acting, directing, comedy, writing - whatever!) then I suggest a listen.

  2. I got this Live Larf Lurve print while shopping in Portsmouth, NH. It brings me so much joy. Kind of want this daily affirmations print, too.

  3. I finally watched the Elton John movie, Rocket Man, and really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed that actor, Taran Egerton, in Black Bird on Apple+. Such an intense show!! The guy who played the serial killer was amazing, too.

  4. On the hunt for fall sweaters that I don’t need. I’m thinking maybe this one, this striped one, and I’ve wanted this one with gold buttons for years. YEARS!

  5. I’m glad to hear that the Corgis have found a good home with the Duchess of York. I guess the Duke of York, too, but nah.

  6. A 40-oz tumbler that is cheaper than the viral Stanley one, fits in cup holders, is easy to hold, and has a straw so you don’t have to show everyone the underside of your chin when you’re on Zoom calls.

  7. The best hack for hanging pictures!!

  8. My friend Vicki made a Fall Mornings playlist that is great to listen to while getting ready for the day.

  9. Has anyone tried this neck thing? The first customer question is amazing. “It looks like a sea monster's tongue…” but I am struggling with bad neck and shoulder pain and thinking this could do the trick (because 15+ chiropractor sessions, massages, and acupuncture didn’t do the trick.)

  10. Grateful to my old comedy pal, Katherine, for sharing the most perfect essay on the most perfect food: Chicken Tenders. And she’s a dietician, so her support for this food matters.

That’s all. I hope you have a happy Monday and a good life.
