Bits + Pieces I Have Been Enjoying Lately

Life’s been such a downer lately, so I’m switching things up this week and focusing on things I have been enjoying in life.

This pumpkin candle from anthropologie is fucking phenomenal. I typically don’t like sweet scents and prefer woodsy, smoky, Christmas-y scents, but this smells amazing even when it’s not lit. It’s $44 which is insane especially when I put myself on a candle buying freeze this year. But I needed it after a frustrating day and I have no regrets. I didn’t realize that was the name though and ugh, it’s so dumb.

The Ted Lasso Christmas episode. Why’d it air in the middle of August? Who knows, who cares? It’s delightful and full of joy... and Roy.

I Can’t Stop Online Shopping - currently browsing mock neck or smock dresses for a party I’m attending that I already have multiple outfit options for. This blue floral dress, this mauve one, this red one that has both details I’m looking for, and this hot pink Target option would do my body zero favors.

This Way Up on Hulu. It’s a series about two Irish sisters living in London. My Irish friend with an Irish sister in London, Judith, suggested it to me and it’s HILARIOUS, and sweet and sad at times. Just like the Irish! My favorite line is, “A man goes mental and all of a sudden he’s Bob Dylan with a fucking guitar, a woman has one more emotion than she’s supposed to and suddenly I’m Lindsay fucking Lohan.”

60 Songs That Explain the ‘90s is a podcast that tackles a different 90s song every week and it’s both insightful and delightful. It kicks off with “You Oughta Know” of course, and covers all the greats like “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “Enter Sandman” and “You Get What You Give”. Nostalgia at its best!!!

Acorn spice hand soap. I also got the cleaning spray. It smells like fall up in here.

I’ve been house shopping… and when I’m not doing that, I’ve been shopping for my house. I want, no need, this door knocker because it looks like Billie. (Also I don’t have the money to be doing EITHER OF THESE THINGS.)

I’m late to this, but I have been making the TikTok feta pasta at least once a week. It’s so good! I’ve added shallots, garlic, corn, and jalapenos. You can’t go wrong with any variation and I pair it with zucchini noodles or this pasta. Bow-ties are the cutest pasta shape, and IF YOU DON’T AGREE THEN that’s fine. It’s just pasta.

I’m not entirely sure this off-brand massage gun does anything helpful, but I like using it on my neck, shoulders, and calves. Plus, it scares my dog and it’s cute.

Caved and bought a pair of Dr. Martens (it makes me laugh to say Dr. and not Doc because it sounds so formal) that I was influenced to buy from a fall influencer. Yes, there are SEASONAL INFLUENCERS.
